Anna Saroldi publishes two book chapters!

Anna's research explores the role of leading translators of Italian literature into English in the second half of the 20th century.

The chapters are "Memoria e prolungamento: aspetti di pratica e teoria dell’autotraduzione in Jacqueline Risset", in I gesti del mestiere. Traduzione e autotraduzione tra Italia e Francia dal XIX al XXI secolo (open access here).

And "An Italian Peter Robinson", in Peter Robinson. A portrait of his work.

Both articles explore the practice of self-translation into Italian by contemporary poets Jacqueline Risset and Peter Robinson, discussing the stylistic changes of the texts and the implications for heteroglossic and transnational writing between Italy, France, and the UK.

They have both been featured in the international bibliography on self-translation by Dr Eva Gentes.
