Other partners including libraries and museums

The Universities of Cambridge and Oxford are, collectively, home to 13 accredited museums, nine of which are designated as being of national and international significance. Collections encompass music, earth sciences, ethnography, classical and contemporary art, manuscripts and printed books, archaeology and the history of science. As well as extensively used resources for teaching and research, the museums, galleries and gardens are active research centres in their own right. In addition, through its leadership of the Open Arts Archive, The Open University co-ordinates events with arts organisations across the UK including Tate, the National Portrait Gallery and the Bowes Museum.

OOC DTP students will be able to benefit from training opportunities developed in conjunction with these partners, while specific CDA studentships hosted by the museums and collections and other partners will also be available to new doctoral candidates across the consortium.
