Bridget Cunningham releases a new album of keyboard works by Thomas Roseingrave
Many congratulations to OOC DTP student Bridget Cunningham (Open University), who has released a new album of a world-premiere recording of Thomas Roseingrave’s stunningly lyrical harpsichord suites and keyboard works.
The Sarabande from the Suite in G major was recently selected by Gramophone Magazine as ‘Video of the Day’ and the album is now available, released by Signum Records.
Roseingrave is one of the most interesting and original composers of keyboard music in eighteenth-century Britain and his harpsichord writing has its own distinct quality of freshness, vitality and tunefulness.
