Anna Golova Collaborative Research Published in 'The British Journal of Psychiatry' and 'Synthese' Journal

Congratulations to Anna Golova!

We are very proud of Anna, who has co-authored two papers with Roy Dings, published in Synthese Journal and The British Journal of Psychiatry:

Golova, A., Dings, R. Explicating the complexity of self-illness ambiguity. Synthese 206, 210 (2025). https://doi.org/10.1007/s11229-025-05244-8

Dings, R., Golova, A. ‘Is it me or my illness?’: self-illness ambiguity as a useful conceptual lens for psychiatry. The British Journal of Psychiatry. Published online (2025). https://doi.org/10.1192/bjp.2025.10367

These articles (one more theoretical, one more applied) explore the concept ‘self-illness ambiguity’, a difficulty experienced by some mental health service users in attempting to distinguish their mental health condition from their own identity and agency.
