We are delighted to celebrate OOC DTP alumnus Jonny Torrance , whose first book, Sin and Theory: Martin Luther’s Doctrine of Sin in Dialogue with Critical Theory, has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing.
Based on research developed during his doctoral studies as part of the OOC DTP, Jonny explores Martin Luther’s doctrine of sin through the lens of critical theory, offering an original interdisciplinary contribution to theology and religious studies.

Jonny was a member of the OOC DTP’s second cohort (2020–2023), and we are delighted to see his doctoral research reaching new audiences through this important publication.
