Heritage Pathway Trip: The Museum of the Home

We are delighted to announce that this term’s Heritage Pathway trip will take place at the Museum of the Home! Located in 300-year-old almshouses in Hoxton, East London, The Museum of the Home (formerly the Geffrye Museum) focuses on domestic life, and invites visitors to rethink the ways in which we have lived in the past and to explore new ways of living in the world today.

This field trip will include a bespoke tour of the Museum and a talk in the Collections Library led by members of the Museum’s curatorial team. During the day, we will learn about the Museum’s recent refurbishment (2021) and the ways in which the Museum is used as an educational resource.

PLEASE NOTE: Attendees will be required to make their own way to the Museum for a 10:45am start. The day will finish by 3pm, after which attendees will be welcome to explore the site on their own, or make their way home.

Places are strictly limited and are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Please note that 10 spaces are being held for OOC DTP students for this trip. Please book as soon as possible if you wish to join, via Inkpath.
