Life Skills for the Workplace
About the workshop
This workshop is designed for people at the beginning of their careers who need to know what awaits them when they start working in a professional environment. Think of it as “Everything you ever wanted to know about the workplace...but were afraid to ask.” The focus will be practical, covering topics such as how to get the most out of your professional development, how to set SMART goals for yourself and how to communicate effectively with a range of senior colleagues you’ll encounter. By the end of the workshop you should be able to:
- Use a SWOT analysis to identify opportunities for development;
- Understand and operationalise SMART goals for a project;
- Identify the communication style of whoever is in front of you and flex your style to their needs.
