This session will provide an essential overview of open access, UKRI’s requirements and what to consider when making your research outputs openly accessible. It will include breakout group discussions for each University so you can find out more about open access requirements for your thesis, support for open access publishing, guidance around finance and payments; details on contacts and communication and information on training and who to contact for help at your university.
While this training is most beneficial at the start of your studentship, it can also help you refresh your knowledge or deepen your understanding of open access at any point during your doctoral studies.
Speakers include:
Nicola Dowson, Senior Library Manager (Research Support), Open University
Sarah Humphreys, Open Scholarship Librarian, Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford
Dr. Samuel A. Moore, Scholarly Communication Specialist, University of Cambridge
Alexia Sutton, Open Access Service Manager, University of Cambridge
The session may finish at 11:30 but some extra time has been added in case it’s needed for the break out discussions.
