Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics
I am a doctoral candidate in Italian at Trinity College, Cambridge, having previously completed a BA in History at Cambridge and an MA in Cultural, Intellectual and Visual History at the Warburg Institute.
My research explores how, during the Italian Renaissance, poetry functioned as a vehicle of political discourse. In my PhD dissertation I focus on Lorenzo de' Medici's poetic patronage, exploring how the Magnifico's poetic protégés used poetry to both celebrate Lorenzo, and communicate with him.
