Lauren-Marie Kennedy is a PhD researcher at The Open University, undertaking a collaborative doctoral project with The Vegan Society. Her research examines the history of the vegan movement in Britain, exploring its emergence, institutionalisation, and cultural impact throughout the 20th century.
With a background in Fine Art, she incorporates creative practice into her academic research, employing visual and performative methods both as tools of investigation and as ways of communicating her findings.
Lauren-Marie is excited to be co-supervised by Dr Matthew Melsa (formerly Cole) and Professor Caroline Clarke at The Open University, with Dr Samantha Calvert from The Vegan Society.
