Congratulations to Juan Pablo Angarita Bernal!
Juan Pablo has co-authored a chapter with Catalina Holguín, on the Bogotá Digital Library in Digital Libraries Across Continents, Routledge.
The chapter explores how the Bogotá Digital Library (2016–2020) became a sustainable public digital infrastructure in a challenging institutional context. Using interviews with librarians, Juan Pablo and Catalina show how open innovation, user-centred design, and iterative development helped the team overcome barriers and build lasting support. The library’s launch in 2019 proved especially valuable during the pandemic, when it served as a key digital platform for librarians and citizens under lockdown to access diverse educational resources.
