Olive completed her BA (History) and MA (Medieval and Early Modern Studies) at Durham University before joining the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Cambridge.
Her project aims to assess the potential benefits of the applications of densitometric analysis on early medieval liturgical texts used in England between 500-1000, placing this data in its palaeographic and linguistic contexts and analysing the text's interactions with worshippers via constructed sacred space.
She is supervised by Dr Erik Niblaeus and her research is co-funded by Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.
