Eli Cumings

I am a PhD student in the Faculty of English at the University of Cambridge. My work examines the representation of bodily difference in the textual culture of the English Reformation. I am interested in the kinds of work my texts do: the sociopolitical and religious structures they're implicated in; the assumptions they make and perpetuate about their subjects; and the transformations they seek to engender in their readers.

I teach on the Practical Criticism and English Literature 1500-1700 papers.
