Elisabetta is a first year PhD student at the University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on feminist video art produced in Britain since the turn of the century, with a particular interest in how the medium is adapting to current post- and para-feminist discourses. She previously completed an MPhil at the University of Cambridge, with a dissertation on de-skilling, weakness and digital mediation in Romanian artist Alexandra Pirici’s performance works, and a BA in Modern and Medieval Languages at the same university. Her research interests include: the relationship between feminism and artistic practice; moving image art and experimental cinema; performativity and gender; the effects of new technologies on artistic representation.
