I am a PhD student in the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at the University of Cambridge researching Icelandic Latin Liturgical manuscript fragments in the collection of the antiquarian Árni Magnússon, supervised by Dr Erik Niblaeus. This work builds upon my master’s thesis, which examined Árni’s manipulation of and attitude towards Latin liturgy through a case study: AM 241 b I fol. I hold a BA (first class honours, 2023) and MPhil (with distinction, 2024) in ASNC.
I am very grateful to the OOC AHRC DTP and Trinity Hall for funding my doctoral research. I am also an honorary recipient of the Cambridge Trust Vice Chancellors Award.
My research interests cover broad aspects of book culture, palaeography and codicology in the medieval West; especially mise-en-page, ecclesiastical history, liturgy and ritual and the development of book culture in Scandinavia. Alongside my studies, I enjoy choral singing (I am a choral scholar in Trinity Hall Chapel Choir), real ale and embroidery. I am treasurer for the Cambridge Colloquium in Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic 2024-25.
