Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics (German Section)
Robbie completed both his undergraduate and master’s degrees in modern foreign languages at the University of Cambridge where he is now also beginning his doctoral studies. His research focuses on 19th and 20th century German thought and history. He is particularly interested in 20th century psychological theories and existentialist philosophy, concentrating on the works of Carl Jung, Karl Jaspers and Viktor Frankl for his thesis. Thinking about these three figures in detail, he hopes to shed some new light on an age-old question: How can we live the good life?
