I am a first year history PhD student at St Edmund’s College, Cambridge.
I am currently researching a project tentatively titled ‘From Black Power to Broken Windows: The Ford Foundation and the Transformation of the Urban Crisis, 1970-1990’ under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Preston. It examines the role of liberal philanthropy in policing and criminal justice reform in cities across the United States. I received both my BA and MA from Cambridge University. My work has appeared in The Washington Post, History Today, and The Metropole.
